Pier Luigi Bersani (Italian pronunciation: [ˌpjɛr luˈiːdʒi berˈsaːni]; born 29 September 1951) is an Italian politician. He was Secretary of the Democratic Party (PD) from 2009 to 2013.[1]

Bersani was Minister of Industry, Commerce and Craftmanship from 1996 to 1999, Minister of Transport from 1999 to 2001, and Minister of Economic Development from 2006 to 2008.
